Hinode Spacecraft Captures Total Solar Eclipse
Hinode captured a total eclipse in orbit on 19th March 2007, while it was just a partial eclipse on the ground.
These data are used to measure scatterd light of telescopes. X-ray Telescope (XRT) obtained full disk images during the total eclipse in soft X-ray images.
Hinode (Sunrise in Japanese), formerly known as Solar-B, is a Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency Solar mission with United States and United Kingdom collaboration.
